Appendectomy done of 12yrs female child patient

A female child of 12 yrs admit in FSW c severe pain RIF over Mc barney's point.Abdomen is rigid, rebound tenderness positive. Pt is toxic c features of septicemia. RTPCR for COVID 19 is positive. Per operative findings:Tip of Appendix is perforated, abdomen is full of pus & flecks seen in photo & sucker. Appendisectomy done, thoroughly peritoneal lavage done. Abdomen closed c drain in pelvis.

Huge Phylloides tumour Right breast

34 Year old patient came with a huge Phylloides tumour Right breast. Relevant core needle biopsy and imaging was done preoperatively , besides other routine investigations which were required for anaesthetic fitness. Mastectomy was done along with underlying pectoralis major muscle to achieve R0 resection margins. The resultant defect was resurfaced by Latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap from the back. 3 days ago a similar Phylloides tumour was operated at Medical College Kolkata which was widely mentioned in all media. Here at Rampurhat we have not only resected such a huge tumour but also did a simultaneous one stage breast reconstruction

BLS Training

A workshop cum Hands on training on Basic Life Support was organised on 8th - 9th March 2022 Skill Laboratory Complex of Rampurhat Govt. Medical College & Hospital by the faculty members of Dept. of Anaesthesiology. Total 120 participants including nursing staff, Paramedical person, Security and Housekeeping personnel were trained regarding the steps on manikins and also role played the emergency scenarios.

Posterior wall acetabulum fracture done in Rampurhat Govt. Medical College and Hospital

• 57 year old labourer presented to us with pain in left hip and inability to bear weight after alleged history of RTA. • Xray showed posterior dislocation of left hip and left acetabular fracture
